goodbye, tumblr…

i feel it is time to leave tumblr once and for all. i no longer feel that it has anything to do with the well-being of my soul. when one finds better digressions, better mind-fulfillment, the infinite scroll function of the tumblr blog is nothing but pure futility. it’s truly an universe of chaotic listlessness. people do not know what to do with their lives. instead of going out there and touching the grass, feeling the dirt under their toes..they choose to reblog some uncredited quote or snippet of lyrics. this indirect appreciation of life, of art, is pure futility. if you have the time and energy, devote it to real experience… the beauty of the universe is truly a spiritual experience. thoreau says, there is an incessant influx of novelty int the world, and yet we tolerate incredible dulness. i will not and cannot tolerate dulness for any split second longer.

i think tumblr has the potential of being more than just a listless scrolling of “instagrammed” beauty. it has the potential to be truly intellectual and soul-searching. but most users, as they are on any online medium, choose to indulge on mental laziness. the languor is non-artistic. the coffee-reblogs are non-artistic. it’s all an illusion, delusional, and psychotic experience. it’s the deliberate self-denial of real existence. it facilitates the spreading of semi-artistic thoughts to the masses. it is art-communism at its fullest.

if you the reader do authentically find purpose on these blogs, by all means do persist on what you are doing. this is merely to make my leaving official. as some statement to my tumblr-funeral.

goodbye folks. i will see you in some other plane of time. in some better, less miserable place.

you are always stronger, smarter, and more worthy than you think.

don’t let anyone deny your purpose. even when that purpose seems blurred by the constant distractions. the distant yet tangible future is the emblem of existing.

i know you have grown simply by the realization that you are putting forth more purpose into your words, which used to be a vacant lot of ignited lavender

those words now weigh heavier in your chest, yet makes your head lighter

light in the positive sense that it fulfills you

subtlety, sobriety, and sublimity

three things constantly undermined,

yet the only three things that matter for the fulfillment of your own Happiness

everyone thinks they’re awkward, original, not good enough. everyone thinks they’re so alone and things seem so much better when they’re not part of your close surroundings. everyone thinks too much but no one is altruistic enough. this innate selfishness is the doom of quiet. it’s the doom of forever detachment from everything real around you. it’s the doom of forever chasing your own shadow down a rain-ridden street that leads you forever to the fate of failure. so believe in something and believe in yourself. run away for a day. create art for the sake of art itself. find yourself an obsession. temporary relief from this state of psychological imprisonment. find yourself a little corner somewhere in this insomniac city and breathe the white noise of nothing

this is about our misconception that Time is malleable. that we can stretch it indefinitely across the space of our own mind travel. because the night is Long and infinitely energetic with the blood-induced ecstasy of breathing

Anonymous asked: i like your use of allusions, but i think your poetry could improve a lot with the use of punctuation marks. i know it's a stylistic preference, but punctuation marks exist for a reason. we think with them, even when we assume we don't. sometimes i'm not sure when you pause.

thanks for your feedback anon! i agree, i should look into that more next time i write.
